Posing for a photo outside the bungalow We took our first long road trip and vacation away with Lucas. We went to Breezy Point, New York, to the beach house that has been in my family for decades. The car ride up wasn't bad (Report card: Lucas - B+, Traffic - C). We just happened to hit traffic right about when we were planning to stop for gas/feed Lucas. He didn't like the delay that the traffic caused or the fact that the car wasn't moving to keep him asleep.
Lucas got introduced to the beach and his extended family. Overall, it was great to spend time with family, but we maybe would have wished for a little more sun than clouds.
