Our little boy is growing up so quickly. The past month has included many milestones. He continues to make us laugh and keeps us on our toes with all the trouble he seems to find.
In the past month he has:
-On his six month birthday, he decided he wanted to crawl and thus our lives changed forever. No longer were we able to sit him down and have him remain where we left him.
We had quite the surprise for daycare when he returned after a 10 day hiatus (due to Thanksgiving and illness). This also initiated the babyproofing around the house.
-Grown more hair (finally!)
He's definitely a redhead.
We already knew that from the stubborn streak & the temper
-He began eating solid foods more regularly
He likes pretty much everything...except for peas
He started to sip from a cup, still working on that
Also, in order to work on fine motor and coordination, we've been giving him "puffs"
(mini cheerio type treats that melt in his mouth)
Initially, he'd knock most of them off his high chair tray in an attempt to get them in his hands.
Then, he'd grab as many as he could and maybe get one in his mouth, if he was lucky.
Now, it's a little bit closer....but still needs to work on that nice pincher grip.
-He responds to his name being called
...and happily ignores you when you're calling him to tell him to stop doing something he shouldn't be doing
-He took his first bath in his Ducky tub
We waited until he could sit up well on his own before putting him in this tub
He loves it!
-He can pull to stand. Getting down was the bigger challenge initially- flop...
Soon after, he started cruising (moving around holding onto things)
He is on the go!
-Last but not least, he is walking behind his toys (with assistance)
I'm sure it will only be a matter of time before he decides to let go and does it all by himself.
