This year, Christmas Eve was exceptionally enjoyable, because it fell on a Saturday.
No worrying about having to get home from work or for that matter, taking off of work.
We had the whole day to get what we needed to do done.

We were able to co-ordinate this year, so our family joined Ryan's parents at Huntingtown United Methodist Church. We got the chance to see a handful of our previous high school classmates and their babies. A highlight of this service was getting glowsticks to use during "Silent Night"- very kid friendly (as apposed to candles).
We met my family at my Mom's house afterwards, to have our traditional lasagna Christmas Eve dinner. And of course, pose for post-church pictures in front of the tree.

After dinner, it was back to get our cookies and milk set out for Santa. Then, off to bed.
We'll see in the morning if Santa has found his way to our house this year.
