We made our annual trek out to Leesburg to spend the day with Auntie Sus & Uncle Dave.
It's hard to believe that this is our 3rd year going to pick pumpkins and adventure to Great Country Farms.
We always look forward to this trip and this year was no different.
The weather co-operated and although it was rather breezy, it was sunny and not too cold.
As we were driving around throughout the day, it was suprising how many of the leaves had not changed color at this point. However, the scenery was still very pretty.

Lucas checking out a car book with Uncle Dave
We stopped for a delicious lunch along the way & got to the Farm just in time to see the P-rex.
We weren't impressed with the P-rex show.
He was having some malfunctioning issues, so we proceeded quickly onto the tube slides.
We upgraded to the super big slides this year.
Even Uncle Dave & Daddy decided to check out the slides.
Lucas & Daddy check out the donkeys
Lucas liked seeing the little chicks
Silly goat!
"Hello goat- How are you?"
Trying out the rope swing
Who will be king of the tire mountain?
They have this pumpkin pillow bounce.
This is the first year we felt comfortable enough to let Lucas go on it.
By comfortable, I was scared the entire time he was on there that he was going to get trampled, fall off or get hurt in some way. Daddy & Uncle Dave did a good job supervising to ensure Lucas' safety.
Getting some serious air
Did I mention he LOVED this!?!
Maria just hanging out while Lucas jumps

Daddy & Lucas getting ready to watch the pig races
Maria was loving this chance to hang out with Auntie Sus!
Little Miss Smiley
And there they go....cute little piggies!
Hanging on for dear life

"I think it's time to eat my boot now."
We enjoyed apple cider slushies & kettle corn.
Much to my dismay, the flavor of the day at the ice cream stand was not pumpkin pie ice cream.
but it was getting close to 2:30 by this point and Lucas hadn't had a nap.
He was getting cranky, not listening and certainly not in the mood for a photo shoot.
Maria wasn't into posing much at this point either.
So unfortunately, no pictures with the pumpkin princess this year.
We loaded up in the car and made our way to Nalls Farm Market to get our pumpkins.
Lots o' pumpkins
Maria poses with the pumpkins
What are these strange things?!
Getting a ride in the wagon while Daddy looks for just the right Jack-O-Lantern pumpkin
Remember how I mentioned Lucas hadn't had a nap all day?
Once we got in the car to go to the pumpkin farm, he was totally passed out.
I took him out of the car & put him in the carrier. He still didn't stir.
No pumpkin picking for him this year.
Once the pumpkins were picked, it was time to go back to Sus & Dave's place to get dinner.
We ordered Fireworks Pizzeria pizzas for carry out.
They have unique yummy pizzas- each one as good as the next.
It took us a while to decide, but were really happy with our choices.
I cut up a piece for Lucas, but he insisted that he wanted a BIG one (meaning an entire slice).
Eating yummy pizza
Look at the big boy eating the big slice!
Get in my belly!
Tackling his pizza bite by bite
He did a really good job eating his pizza this way.
Meanwhile, Maria decided that it was time to show off her new mobility skills.
She has been pulling herself around doing the army crawl.
Watch out world, here she comes!
"Mommy thinks I'm going to try to get that ball."
"But I'm more interested in Brother's cars."
We had a great time & can't wait to do it again next year!!!
