Test results

The pediatrician called this morning and said Lucas' bilirubin (aka jaundice) level was slightly elevated. They think it may be due to something called "breast milk jaundice", meaning there may not be an enzyme in the breast milk that he needs in order to break it down. I was instructed to give him formula for 4 days, repeat the bloodwork (gasp!), and see if the level dropped. Another fun adventure in parenthood. I had no idea such a thing existed.
