For whatever reason, Lucas didn't have his one year check until today.
12 month stats:
Weight: 25 lbs.
Height: 30 inches
He's no lightweight, our boy!
We call him our little carb loader. He has mostly stopped wanting to eat baby food. He was spitting it out when we tried to give it to him, so we thought maybe, just maybe, he was done with that stuff. We've switched him over to mostly table food.
He loves pasta, cheese, bread, rice. Most fruits & veggies.
He is taking juice from a cup. We're working on transitioning him to a cup for milk. He mostly just gives us the hand to the face and hands us back the cup when we try to give it to him with milk in it. Even if he really wants it. So we'll see how successful we can be with that in the next few weeks.
He loves dancing. Turn on the music and you'll see him groove.
Bopping his head back & forth.
Bouncing up & down.
I've been trying to get a good video.
I'll keep trying.
He likes taking a bath, but most of the time refuses to sit down.
He's outgrown his ducky.
He likes playing with the drain.
He's really starting to understand some cause & effect,
especially as far as buttons are concerned.
He knows to turn on his new birthday toy, he has to press the red button.
He loves hearing the sounds from his new book with buttons.
He presses the one he wants to hear.
Unfortunately, he also knows how to turn on the dishwasher.
He pulls the lever to the side & turns the knob.
Once he hears the water come on, he knows he's in trouble.
So he steps back and gives you this look like, "I didn't know it did that." Sure, buddy.
As noted in previous posts, he is a water baby.
Looking forward to taking him to the beach and seeing what he thinks.
He has learned how to Hi-5. Now we need to teach him the fist pound.
One of my favorite things he is doing now is kissing.
They are those slobbery, open mouth kisses that leave the entire side of your face wet &
I LOVE THEM! Now you can say, "Kisses" and he'll give you a kiss. It's so sweet!
