Elmo & Murray

As you may have seen in one of our earlier posts, our little boy likes Sesame Street. I don't know who the marketing/development people are for Sesame Street, but somehow they have managed to make a little red muppet mesmerizing for a one year old. He is totally entranced. Then, the other day out of the blue, he says "Eh-mo" and points to the TV. Lucas is only saying words right now that are REALLY important, so I guess Elmo is on the top of that list next to "Mama" and "Da-dee". And so it begins, the influx of mainstream media and marketing into our every day lives. We even bought him an Elmo t-shirt when were in Ocean City, because he pointed to it and recognized his new onscreen buddy. As long as it's not Barney, I'm okay with it.
Ryan's favorite segment of Sesame Street is with the new muppet, Murray and his spanish speaking purple lamb, Ovejita. There isn't much out now marketing-wise, as far as Murray is concerned. Once the stuffed Murray comes out, Ryan will be sure to purchase one. This muppet has a great sense of humor and he follows his little lamb to a different school or "escuela" each day. If you are curious, here's a clip:
