Pumpkin Patch with Uncle Dave & Auntie Sus

We went out to Leesburg to visit Dave & Sus, in what is now considered a family tradition (this was our 2nd annual trip!). We were planning on going the week before, but got rained out (plus it was really cold). We were glad we postponed it until today, because the weather was gorgeous!
We didn't take any pictures, but we stopped on the way out to the farm for some lunch.
We had yummy barbeque, while Lucas harrassed the geese by the pond instead of eating his sandwich.
When we arrived at the farm, they were having a Great Dane rescue. We saw lots of BIG dogs.At first Lucas wasn't too sure, but then he decided a dog is a dog.
Petting the Great Dane that was taller than Lucas and probably as
tall as Daddy if it stood on his hind legs.

Otherwise known as the Oinktucky Derby

"Family" shot- okay, so we only got the top of Lucas' head
He turned away at the last second.

That's a big pig!

Off to the races
Lucas wasn't really sure what to think of the pig race

Oh no! We found a tractor...we'll never get him off.
This kid loves anything that has a wheel!

Uncle Dave gives Luke a thumbs up for his stationary driving skills

More tractors, this was more his size

Climbing up to go down the slide

Hooray! This is fun!

Mommy's turn to push Lucas on the tractor

The Craun Boys Hi-Five

Mom got some pumpkin pie ice cream
Lucas wanted to give it a try

It was delicious!

He kept asking for more!

Lucas started getting cranky & was definitely in need for a nap.
So instead of risking grumpy behavior on the hayride out to the pumpkin patch,
we went up the road to another farm & ended up getting our pumpkins for 10 cents/lb cheaper.
His hair is the same color as the pumpkins!

"Mommy, this is the one I want!"

Those are some big pumpkins!
We ended our evening in Leesburg with some great tasting pizza (and beer for everyone but Luke & I) at Fireworks, one of the local pizzerias. With our bellies full and our pumpkins secured in the back, we headed home from a fantastic day with family.
