Grammy & Billy picked up Lucas from daycare,
dropped Maria off to me at work (more about that later) and headed downtown for the Caps hockey game.
Ryan met up with them after work.
Lucas likes the idea of riding the train
But as evidenced with this picture, not a big fan of the tunnels & the noise
"Train is loud, too loud".
Loud may have been the theme for the evening.
Lucas was not a big fan of how loud Verizon Center was during the game.
Not to mention the huge horn that blasts every time Caps score a goal.
Reports indicated that he was very quiet, kind of clingy and very zoned into what was happening on the ice.
He said he had fun. Now that is the face of someone who looks thrilled to be at the hockey game!
Meanwhile, Maria had been fighting a nice virus all week long.
She had been home with Billy during the day on Friday, in order to try to get better.
We were hoping to take her to her first Caps game.
Alas, I got a phone call from my mom & brother before they left home stating she was running a fever again.
Looks like no Caps game for Maria & Mommy
(I have plans to go to the game on Sunday any way).
Sweet sleeping girl
Get better soon!
Mommy & Maria snuggle time
Hopefully she'll get another chance to go to a game soon.
