Vacation at Breezy Point, NY- Day 1

For vacation this year, we headed for a long weekend to Grammy's beach house up in Breezy Point, New York. Our family has been coming here all of our lives. Last year, Lucas was only one month old when we came. This is his first true beach experience. We were excited to see what he would make of it. Also staying at the tiny bungalow were Uncle Billy & Aunt Katie.

Of course we had to make sure our pale little red-head was slathered in sunscreen, had his hat, sunglasses and UV protective shirt on.

Lucas started getting sleepy.

I was holding him when he fell asleep on my shoulder.

I tried to set him down in the sun tent, but he didn't want any part of it.

I laid down and we ended up taking a nap together.

After a while though, having a solid 25 lbs on your chest can get pretty uncomfortable.

I tried to move him off to the side and still sleeping, he would climb back over onto my chest.

So that's how we stayed until he woke up.

Once he woke up, he was ready to play in the sand with Uncle Billy.
