Rolling Over

Maria's most recent developmental milestone is rolling over.

This has happened in the past week.

At first, she could go from her stomach to her back-which seemed like more of a gravitational thing than an intentional one.

Now she's figured out how to get from her back to her stomach.

Now I'm on my belly- a whole new prospective!

Warning: This LONG video is rather uneventful. I just kept videotaping hoping she would roll and she wasn't really into doing at that very moment. The video includes a lot of encouragement from Momma and little actual rolling activity by Maria.

First she was deterred by sucking on her fingers.

The next distraction was trying to eat her dress. (Did I mention she puts everything in her mouth these days?!)

Then she was able to get over, but got frustrated about not getting her arm out.

After that, she was too busy socializing with the toucan to want to roll over.

By the end, she was just done with playmat time all together.

Maybe next time we'll get a little bit more action in the video!
